What?
(47th Murajapam & Lakshadeepam Festival 2025–2026) is the main spiritual festival of the world-famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple, which is held every six years . 🕉️🪔 Hundreds of Brahmins recite sacred mantras ( Murajapam ), and the cycle ends with the Lakshadeepam ceremony - when one hundred thousand lamps illuminate the temple , creating an unforgettable spectacle (this is scheduled for January 14, 2026)
💃🎭 For 56 days , daily cultural programs are held—dance, music, and theater performances ( Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Carnatic music, Thiruvathira , etc.)—on stages located along the temple (fort) gates. Performances begin at 5:00 PM, with morning performances on some days.
